ACA-UNCA Partnership for Undergraduate Research

The ACA-UNCA Partnership for Undergraduate Research is a Mellon-funded collaboration between the Appalachian College Association and the University of North Carolina Asheville in support of undergraduate research expertise in the humanities and humanistic social sciences. The ACA-UNCA Partnership has hosted a conference in Fall 2009 at UNC Asheville and will host another in Fall 2010, where student researchers will be invited to present their scholarship as well as publish their work in a new online journal.

The mission of the Appalachian College Association–University of North Carolina Asheville Partnership for Undergraduate Research is to develop region-wide strength in undergraduate research through:

1. Targeted institutional development;
2. Support for faculty-student projects; and
3. Symposia and publication outlets.
